Fenco Farms

About Us

Founded by Jim and Lynda Fenton, Fenco Farms has deep roots in Florida’s agricultural heritage. What began in the citrus industry later expanded to include strawberries—all while maintaining a steady focus on cattle. As Florida’s agricultural landscape evolved and the citrus market declined, the Fentons recognized an opportunity to adapt. They began converting farmland into productive pastureland, allowing the cattle operation to grow and thrive.

Today, Fenco Farms operates across Central Florida—including Citrus, Lake, Marion, Pasco, and Sumter Counties—with continued growth into South Georgia. Clay Cooper serves as General Manager, leading day-to-day operations and overseeing the continued advancement of the farm’s genetic and commercial programs.

Over the past 30 years, the farm has developed three key divisions: Registered Brangus, Club Calf, and Commercial Cow-Calf—each built on a foundation of data-driven genetic improvement and a commitment to quality.

Why Brangus? The Best of Both Worlds.
Brangus cattle combine the hardiness and maternal instincts of Brahman with the superior meat quality and fertility of Angus. With a genetic makeup of 3/8 Brahman and 5/8 Angus, this breed is built for performance, adaptability, and efficiency.

Developed through decades of selective breeding—beginning in the 1930s and officially recognized in 1949—Brangus cattle offer the strength of two proven lineages, making them a smart choice for both commercial and seedstock operations.
